We believe in craftsmanship. We believe that creating high quality leather products, requires combining modern and best in class materials with years of experience in leather processing and manufacturing.

That is why our bags are designed and engineered in Switzerland and exclusively hand-manufactured in Italy by a small, traditional family business, with utmost attention to details and the highest level of precision and care. The proximity of the leather manufactory to the Swiss border allows us to benefit from close collaboration and personal exchanges of ideas and experiences, creating a complementary and novel approach to creating innovative products. The love of craftsmanship and the demand for perfect quality are an essential part of our supplier relationship.

We believe in transparency. Not only in our communication, but also in our supply chain and prices.

The materials we use are sourced exclusively from Italy and meet the highest quality standards. Our leather is sourced from traditional tanneries and the metal parts from a respected producer. We conduct thorough research and select our materials very carefully. Thereby, we are in direct contact with our material suppliers to really ensure a transparent supply chain.

Further, we want to offer our customers a high quality product for an attainable price point. To make this possible, we sell directly to our customers and can therefore drastically increase the value. By cutting out the middle man and having a very lean organisation, we can offer our products with a mark-up of 1-2x of the production price. In comparison - traditional retail prices have a 5-7x mark-up. 

We want to ensure the respectful treatment of resources and people.

In order to appreciate our resources, we only use cow leathers which is considered a waste product of the meat industry. As a result, no animal is killed solely because of its leather, as is often the case with exotic leather. To make the most of the resources used, we added small leather accessories to our product range, so that also leather leftovers find a purpose.

To counteract overproduction in the textile industry, we only produce small, low-risk batches. With our timeless designs, we do not follow the fast pace of the fashion industry, but rather rely on styles that last for seasons. To reduce consumption and ensure your favorite AMELI's longevity, we provide complimentary repairs on all of our bags.

We also make sure that our bags are manufactured under fair working conditions. Through our close cooperation, we personally inspect the production every 3-4 months and thus ensure compliance with fair working conditions. Further, our producer is certified and regularly audited as "100% made in Italy". Amongst others, this ensures that employees working conditions are in accordance with labor laws, health and safety standards.
